It's Flu Shot Time
It is that time of year again when you need to get your flu shot. The sooner you do it, the better. That way you will be protected when the flu makes its round and it is already in the process of doing so.
We got ours a few days ago. Those shots normally don't give us any grief, but this year is different. Hubby has been feeling flu-like since the day he received the shot and I am sniffling and have the sense I am coming down with a cold.
We were told this year's shot covers some more and different strains than last year's. I concur that can only be beneficial, but there must have been a strain in this shot we hadn't run into yet. I hope we get over the symptoms soon.
Either way, even though the flu shot may present you with some discomforts, it is always better being safe than sorry. Especially the elderly and those with a low immune system are at risk. You wouldn't believe how many people still pass away from the flu in this day and age.
It is up to you of course, but why would you take the risk? Everyone needs help at one point and why not accept the helping hand when it is offered? God's hand is constantly reaching out to you. Don't wait.
Grab it with both hands!
Psalm 91:1
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
